Every Thursday night, Buddy's in Newtown turns into the ultimate hub for live, original music + the famous meatball subs!

Rum Raisin started as a side project influenced by the soulful sounds of another successful summer. The modern groove and soul solo project dripping with infectious hooks has now adapted their studio recordings, ready for a live show. 

The 9-piece outfit draws influence from modern soul groups such as 'Parcels', 'Jungle' and 'Khraungbin' just to name a few. A mix between electronica/soul/dance combined with the love for the beach, ocean and style, rum raisin can be summarized with their own genre of 'Coastal Soul'. Following successful releases of debut singles 'Is this it?' and 'Georgia' through word of mouth and sharing amongst friends, rum raisin has quickly amassed a few thousand streams with listeners wanting more.

With Light My Soul on Fire, the latest and third single, rum raisin are poised to bring electrifying live performances with a undoubtably ability to get crowds on their feet. Set for release in September, Light My Soul on Fire, captures the bittersweet essence of the end of summer.
