does your party need?
Tell us your headcount and how long the taps will be flowing. We'll work out roughly how much you need, then you pick the kegs, wines, cocktails, staff and extras — and we'll take it from there.

FAQs
Do you need power on site?
Yes — the trailer needs power to run. If your venue doesn't have power available, we can supply a generator for an additional cost.
How much space does the trailer need?
The trailer measures 4.4m long by 2.5m wide by 3.5m high. Let us know your space and layout when you enquire and we'll confirm it'll fit comfortably, with room for guests to queue and pour.
What kind of venue works?
Anywhere the trailer can be safely driven and parked, backyards, warehouses, marquees, function venues and car parks all work. Just confirm with your venue that there's safe access for a 4.4m trailer before booking.
How many drinks can be on tap at once?
The trailer has 10 taps in total, but only 7 can pour beer at any one time. The remaining 3 taps are set up for wine and cocktails, or can be left empty if you'd rather load up on beer variety instead.
Indoors or outdoors?
Either — we've run the trailer at both. Outdoor events without mains power will need a generator (see above).
Is staff included?
Yes — every booking includes at least one RSA-accredited staff member on site, built into your quote automatically. You can add more staff if you need extra hands for a bigger event.
Will RSA staff be on site?
Yes, every booking includes at least one RSA-qualified staff member who can monitor service of alcohol.
Does my venue need its own permit?
Possibly. If your event is on private land you own or have booked, this is usually not needed, but check with your venue or local council if you're unsure. This is the host's responsibility, not Buddy's. Contact us so we can work out the requirements for your event.
Can I bring my own kegs or drinks?
No — we only supply kegs through Buddy's, so we're not able to accommodate BYO kegs or drinks. This keeps quality, gas fittings and delivery timing consistent for every event.
What's the deposit?
A $750 deposit is required to secure your date, paid via NowBookIt once your booking is confirmed.
Is a bond required?
Yes — a $500 bond is required. The full balance, including all kegs, is due 2 weeks before your event.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you can. Keg pricing is confirmed roughly 4 weeks out from your event, so booking ahead gives us the best chance of securing your preferred kegs and date.
Are keg prices locked in?
Prices include GST and are subject to change without notice. Keg pricing is confirmed at time of order, roughly 4 weeks out from your event.
Can we get a refund on unfinished kegs?
We only hire out full kegs, and there are no refunds or exchanges for kegs that aren't finished or aren't opened on the night. Kegs remain the property of the supplying brewery and are collected after your event.
Is delivery included?
Delivery is included for events within a 2 hour drive of Sydney CBD. Further out, we're happy to help — just flag it in your enquiry and we'll come back with a custom travel quote.
What's your cancellation policy?
We need at least 2 weeks' notice to cancel or reschedule your booking. Cancelling with less notice than that means your bond is forfeited.
Are garnishes included?
Garnishes for cocktails aren't included — let us know if you'd like these added on.
Who can drink?
No alcohol can be sold or supplied to anyone under 18 — it's against the law. Licence LIQS220000267.
What happens after I send my enquiry?
We'll come back to confirm availability, delivery, and any generator or access needs, and send through full terms and conditions ahead of booking.
Terms & Conditions
By booking, the Client agrees to ensure:
- The Client, or the Client's nominated responsible person, is 18 years or older, and understands it is an offence under the Liquor Act 2007 (NSW) to supply alcohol to anyone under 18. Penalties of up to $11,000 and 12 months imprisonment apply.
- The Client has obtained any other approvals needed for the event to lawfully proceed at the chosen location, including landowner consent and any council or strata permissions.
- Buddy's staff may refuse service to any guest who appears intoxicated or cannot produce valid ID, in line with our RSA obligations. This decision is made by our staff on site and is final.
- If the Client's actions, or the suitability of the chosen venue, cause Buddy's to breach the conditions of its liquor licence or any other law, the Client indemnifies Buddy's for any resulting fine, penalty, cost, or loss, including loss of licence.
