Coco Elise is the genre-blurring indie project of Western Australian producer and songwriter Josh Ellis, crafting a sound that feels equal parts its own thing and familiar. Blending indie folk textures, soft rock warmth, and left-field pop sensibilities, Coco Elise builds songs that warm you with personality and their intimate yet unpredictable songwriting. 

What begins as a unique and intriguing style of production, turns into an encapsulating live show. It’s kinetic and full-bodied with synths, horns and incessant rhythms creating a performance that feels as playful as it is precise. Audiences don’t just watch; they’re pulled into it.

Coco Elise has earned support from leading tastemakers including Triple j unearthed feature artist, Rolling Stone Australia, VICE Australia, EARMILK, Line of Best Fit, alongside consistent editorial playlisting across Spotify AU/NZ and Apple Music. The project is also among the most played artists on RTRFM, has received consistent play across Triple J and won song of the year at the WAM awards for their 2025 single ‘Colour the Stencil’.

Following a national tour in 2025, Coco Elise has shared stages with artists including Maribou State (UK), Donny Bennet, Sycco, Playlunch, Sex on Toast, and Jazz Emu (UK), steadily building a reputation for its captivating and unconventional live performances.
