'Live Fridays' @ Buddy's
Friday night, Buddy's in Newtown turns into the ultimate hub for live, original music + the famous meatball subs!
After seven years of silence the Kava Kings reunite for one explosive night of psychedelic summer guitar pop. Known for their wild, high-energy live shows across Australia and Europe, the lads return to the stage to bring back the chaos, shimmer and nostalgia as they pick up right where they left off.
During their first chapter, the band built their reputation the hard way - hauling a custom hiace across the country, cutting their teeth in sweaty Aussie venues, whilst taking their sound to European stages on several occasions. The four-piece have shared stages with the likes of Ocean Alley, Winston Surfshirt, Lime Cordiale, Pacific Avenue and many more. In the studio they have collaborated with acclaimed produced/engineer Joel Quartmain (Eskimo Joe), honing the raw edge of their live sound into a “hot wet dream that leaves you overwhelmed yet satisfied”.
Come catch these misfits deliver a long awaited psychedelic summer at Buddy’s Newtown on Friday 31st of October.
